Design rationale
In one line: the Bible teaching is the content, so the site reads like a well-set journal.
Design choices
- Palette: white and warm grey rows, near-black text, and one accent: cobalt (#1D3FD8). All text pairs pass WCAG AA.
- Type: Inter Tight for headlines. Source Serif 4 for reading text at 18px. IBM Plex Mono for metadata.
- Grid: a visible 12-column grid. Every section opens on a heavy rule with a number, a label and a big title.
- Type-led, not photo-led: sermon artwork is typographic, so there's no need for photography to look finished.
- Distinctive pieces: a giant "10:30" for the service time, a sentence-style teaching finder, and an index of the 66 books.
Who it suits
A church that wants teaching to feel serious, thoughtful and trustworthy. Easiest to keep looking good with little effort, because it needs no photography.
Trade-offs
- Can feel cooler or more formal than A at first sight.
- Relies on typographic discipline. Adding ad-hoc colours or boxes would weaken it quickly.
